Before photography came Graphic Design. I Studied at Harrogate College and later at Newcastle College after serving my apprenticeship at a little company called Biff Graphics based in Northallerton (no longer around). Knaresborough Bed Race 2008...
This year saw Rory McGrath enter the fray, alongside the Scotton Scorchers. Rory McGrath and Paddy McGuinness are to take a sporting road trip around Britain in a new series for Channel Five. The four-part series, which has the working title Rory & Paddy's Road of Sport, will be made by independent producer IWC Media and will see the pair traveling around Britain in a small camper van taking part in unusual British activities. These include wife-carrying, bog snorkeling, nettle eating, and cheese rolling in Gloucestershire.
Wedding Photography & Video packages now available...
My approach is simple, I adopt a photo journalistic approach to wedding photography. It's always been a passion of mine, at my own family happenings, to capture that moment when no-one is really paying too much attention to me and the camera. Most of the time this requires switching off the flash gun, collapsing the tripod and casually just snapping away using long exposures or a higher speed setting. This way of shooting often delivers quite dramatic results, but more importantly with the advent of digital technology, this approach also allows me the freedom to fire off many, many more shots than conventional film would cost effectively allow. I'm also enjoy working with digital video. Capturing little snippets that will sum up the day, edited together to make a little 3 to 5 minute DVD or webpage movie. Family & Friends - Portraits and People
A contemporary approach to recording a special occasion. I only use a studio setting for product photography and as you're not a product I won't be dressing you up to look like one! My preferred approach is to simply capture the very essence of a day in your life, either at your home or on a family day out - With the family : A Walk in the Park, A Day at the Seaside, On your Boat, Garden Party... etc.

I was recently asked by the Directors of Robert Thompson to capture a couple of informal shots of the of them for the new Mouseman Furniture book (due out in July 2008). Harrogate Stray Rein Blossom - Sunday May 11th 2008...
I walked across to the Harrogate Stray this afternoon (Sunday 11th of May 2008) to snap my favourite part of town this at time of year. As ever the colours were bright and of course beautiful, even in the slight heat haze we seem to be experiencing at the momement. Family Portraiture - April 2008...

The Ukulele Orchestra @ the Harrogate Theatre...
A great bunch of talented musicians who I first saw play a few years back at the Helmsley Arts Centre & Old Meeting House, then again later at the Big Chill (where I was providing the stage visuals (VJ) for Alucidnation). On this occasion they were playing in my home town so it was an ideal opportunity to meet up with the guys back-stage during the intermission for a few quick candid snaps and a catch up.
